Charity Shopping Event at Aine’s Boutique for NEDA

My best friend Vanessa, The City Girl’s Guide, and I have been chatting about being a major #GIRLBOSS and actually chasing our dreams. She is my biggest support system and has helped me work through so many fun blog post ideas. It is truly magical to have someone who understands you on a deeper level and helps you become the person you’ve always wanted to be. When she mentioned the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) Boston Walk I was totally excited. We created a goal of $500 and put our heads together to create some amazing fundraising events such as a Charity Shopping at Aine’s Boutique and a Barre Class at Dance Fit Studio (coming later this month).

First, let’s chat about the NEDA walk:

NEDA is a nonprofit organization that provides programs to the 30 million Americans and their families who are affected by eating disorders. As a nurse in an eating disorder center many of my patients have to cross state lines just to get treatment and support. By supporting NEDA you are supporting someone’s treatment: You can sign up to walk with us by using this link.  If you cannot attend the walk but want to donate you can donate here.

Now, back to the most amazing event this weekend at Aine’s Boutique …

Many of you all know that I work at Aine’s Boutique on the weekends when they need me and I have soo much fun playing with their products and trying on the cute clothes. My favorite thing about Aine’s is that all their clothes are unique and totally fun. Thankfully, they supported our idea to host an event with them. 20% of all the sales went directly to our NEDA Boston Walk Team (#LoveYourSelfie). They even donated a pair of earrings and a mystery bag for two lucky winners to walk home with!

&& GREAT NEWS: We exceeded our $500 goal with just this ONE event. Can you say #GIRLBOSS? Thank you to everyone who came and supported us. YOU ARE AMAZING.

Charity Shopping Event

We had some amazing sponsors and I have to give them a little shout-out:

Graphique De France: This is my favorite Stationary company and you’ve probably seen them at Barnes & Noble, TJ Maxx, Bed Bath & Beyond, Francesca’s and more. All of my thank you cards and journals are from there because honestly, I deserve the cutest stationary pieces and so do you. They donated their Soho Collection 6 Piece Set for one lucky winner and it was amazing!

Wölffer Estate Vineyard: Guys, listen up: This is the best wine company EVER. It is both light and refreshing which makes it perfect for spring and summer. Everyone at the event was dying over how delicious this wine was and now I’m obsessed. I’m not sure I can drink anything else…

Cupcake City: These cupcakes complimented the wine and shopping so well! This is my favorite cupcake brand and I always always ask my mom to get these on special occasions because they are delicious, free of preservatives and made fresh every single day. Plus, they even have a cupcake truck. How cool?
