New Years Eve Recap, 2017 Reflections and 2018 Resolutions

HAPPY 2018!

I love celebrating the new year because it is a time to celebrate with the people that mean the most to you, reflect on your 2017 accomplishments this past year and plan for the future by setting 2018 resolutions. This year, I had the most fabulous celebration ever because my friends and I met in New York City and went to a rooftop bar in Times Square. (Don’t worry it was enclosed although, they did open the roof for a few minutes at 12 so we could hear what was happening in Time’s Square after the ball dropped.) Overall, it was the most fabulous night ever. I had so much fun seeing my friends from college, drinking at the open bar and playing around with their Photo Booth. And I got to ring in the New Year by crossing off a bucket list item: Times Square on New Years Eve.

I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on this past year and setting my goals and resolutions for the future and I cannot wait to share these with you.

2017 Reflections:

2017 was the year of so many new experiences: goat yoga, float therapy, reiki, Boston Fashion Week, College Fashion Week and hosting my first blogging event. This year my business grew so much as I became a spotlight blogger on HerCampus, landed my biggest collaboration yet, was recognized by a complete stranger in a random bathroom as Style by Liv and officially got my first business cards. These milestones are amazing and something that I am soo grateful for. To those of you reading this right now, thank you. Thank you for reading. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for engaging with my content. Thank you for supporting me. I could not grow this blog without you and for that I am eternally grateful.

This year has taught me so much and some of the most valuable lessons this year have been:

  • Experiences > Things
  • Sometimes it’s more important to slow down than to hustle harder
  • Comparison is the thief of joy
  • More is not always better
  • Friends are everything. Cherish them.

2018 Resolutions:

I am so excited for 2018 and have so many exciting (& scary) things in the works. I am totally stepping outside of my comfort zone this year and I cannot wait to see what the results will turn into.

My Motto for 2018 is: “Your energy introduces you before you even speak.” — I saw this quote the other day and have never felt more inspired in my life. This year, I want to focus on bettering myself as a person while also focusing on bettering my energy. I want to live with more passion than ever before. I want to radiate light, joy and happiness.

This year, I am making 12 resolutions and designating one resolution for each month. This way, I can focus on one thing at a time and achieve my goals with intention. Here are my resolutions:

January: Meditation

February: Learn to Cook!

March: Drink more water (Goal: 70oz/day)

April: Yoga

May: Reading

June: Style by Liv

July: Dosha Diet (My Dosha is Pitta and you will learn more about this soon!)

August: Spend more time outside

September: Expand my Faith

October: Acts of Kindness

November: De-Clutter & Clarify

December: Crafting

LIV!!! absolutely love your 2018 motto – i definitely am striving to adopt that into everything i do & become. this is going to be such a significant year for you. you asked for some blog ideas on your IG so here are just a couple: i would love to see more wellness & health content combined into your regular fashion posts. health & wellness is an obvious passion of yours, i would love to learn from you. also, i think it would so fun to read about your life in the nursing world -a unique & real subject to you.
