I grew up in the suburbs right outside of Boston but we rarely ventured into the city as kids. As children, my sister and I would go into the city on field trips or special occasions with my grandparents but our weekends were spent at home with my parents or at cheerleading practice. This past year, I moved back to Boston after graduating from James Madison University. I love Virginia more than anything in the entire world but I’m slowly falling more in love with Boston. Currently, one of my favorite activities is to venture into the city on the weekend and explore.
I just recently discovered SoWa, thanks to one of my BFFs Tayler. Tayler and I were having brunch one afternoon in the South End when we decided to adventure over to the SoWa Open Market. I had no idea what to expect but had no much fun looking at art exhibits, shopping vintage clothing racks and networking with so many different companies.
SoWa is Boston’s #GIRLBOSS headquarters because all women (& men) come out to showcase their company. It is so much fun because one minute you’re eating donuts and wine slushies and the next moment you are shopping essential oils and t-shirts.
Here is a list of my favorite moments from SoWa:
- Finally tried BlackBird Donuts and crossed it off my Boston Bucket List
- Met a fabulous #girlboss lady who has a very similar outlook on life & I had the opportunity to get lunch with her this past week to chat about all things related to health & wellness
- Met a fabulous blogger who I will be meeting up with soon 🙂
- Collaborating with a brand you will LOVE — Stay tuned!
Thank you Boston. Thank you SoWa. Exploring the city is so much fun.
